Temples of Democracy

Arvind Kejriwal or you may say Team Anna has rightly said that tainted Members of Parliament cannot help in making effective and hard laws. MPs with criminal background have the power and effectiveness equivalent to ten times of power and effectiveness of residual normal MPs. When Lalu Yadav starts speaking in Parliament, none of good MPs has guts to stop him making mockery of Parliament. Similarly when tainted Members of state assemblies cry, all other MLAs think it wise to remain silent spectator of evil deed of government. When Lalu Yadav looted the state of Bihar or When Madhu Koda looted the state of Jharkhand or when A Raja looted the country in telecom scam, none of MPs of ruling Congress Party who treat them as protector of temple of democracy had the guts to stop their anti-national and anti common men activities. Even Manmohan thin thought it fit to remain silent Spectator like Bhism Pitamah.

It is very much true for Indian democracy and Indian Parliament where criminals are sitting at key post and it is they who decide the tone of Bills to be placed in Parliament. There is no doubt in it, that corrupt politicians for their vested are misusing and exploiting the word Democracy, Secularism and Supremacy of Parliament. Corrupt politicians know the art of mobilizing votes during election by making promises or by shedding Crocodiles tears in the name of poverty, unemployment, price rise, terrorism, naxalism, corruption etc.
Politicians are after all Master in delivery of speeches which suits the voters. In our country the art of speaking is the prime qualification to win the hearts of people.

Not only has this, High command of most of political parties has no courage to deny ticket to criminal aspiring for contesting election. To add fuel to fire, even money power and muscle powers are managed by these criminals for the Political party they are affiliated and hence even the future of the party depends of such criminal, such corrupt politicians and such clever black sheep who stab democracy by wearing mask of democracy.

Elected MPs and MLAs create ugly scene and watch ugly scene s in the temple of democracy called as Parliament and preach sermons to others to respect dignity of such temples. What a ridiculous approach?

Elected members throw mike and use abusing language against each other in temples of democracy and still talk of dignity of such temples. Politicians have raped Parliament and hence they cannot dream of punishment to rapist. I do not talk of exceptionally few good elected members who are of no significance in such temples. I talk of quality of most of elected members who altogether creates image of such temples of democracy.
Particularly members of ruling parties are more often than not puppets in the hands of High Command of their party and hence they also think it wise to say yes to every decisions of Party high command and try loudly in State Assembly or in Parliament when members of opposition group protest the wrong decisions of ruling party. This is Indian style of democracy where elected members functions as yes-men of High command and not as protector and well wisher of common men, of voters and of Indian image in world forums.

After all elected members of state assemblies or those of Parliament have to win the hearts of high command and not the common men or voters who elected them to power. They have to win the heart of high command of the party not only for getting cream ministerial berth in cabinet but also to ensure candidature for next election .They have to win the blessing of High Command not for social welfare or for benefit of voters of their area but for getting more and more opportunities of earning wealth for their families , friends and relatives and also for getting protection when are caught by CBI, CVC or police personnel. And this is why they cry like street dogs against all those who speak against the decision of the government run by their party.

Not only this when members of ruling party fail to pacify opposing parties by their loud voice they start talking of secularism or of quota for some caste or other. This is our country where the word ‘Secularism’ and word ‘democracy’ has largely been misused and misinterpreted by corrupt gang of politicians.
